Ridgeback CV of our little Eshe
We brought home our dream baby Eshe in June. As the time was running, the little beast chewed up first its letty, then the letty of our Anny (our dachshund … author´s notice), some pairs of shoes (the best ones were the shoes of our guests), wooden kitchen facing and last but not least lot of dog-leads …
Since she was 6 months old we began to visit the cynology training-ground. Eshe was from beginning an „outsider“ in eyes of others. The local trainer pointed out that I do not have a spiny collar. He told me that the ridgeback is silly and non-trainable dog and must have a spiny collar. After Eshe showed him that she can be trained also without this kind of collar and that she is the best among others, he discontinued to persist on it and even apologized. Eshe mastered the basic obedience very well but she was still more interested in running and playing with other dogs.
We did not have any experience with exhibitions, so we asked Mrs. Lednová and she advised us to go for the first time to Prague Kampa. The county dog exhibition took place there on 8th May. The competition was not huge, there were just two ridgebacks. Our Eshe won and this started our exhibition career.
Eshe made us really happy when she won 4th place at a Club Show which took place in Humpolec on 11th September. And the day after she won even 2nd place at a special exhibition although the competition was pretty tough. This persuaded us that our Eshe is attractive and we continued in exhibitions.
In April we exposed at International Dog Exhibition České Budějovice. From the total number of 81 ridgebacks our little Eshe gained 2nd place and became the best ridgeback lady of the whole exhibition. That time our only three months old daughter Karolinka came also to cheer for her. We went to Austria too, and our beauty gained there her best award so far. At an EURO Dog Show in Tulln (4. 6. 2005) won a great 2nd place in her class and became in our eyes the „vicemiss“ of Europe.
